MELVILLE MCKEE SCORES POINTS AGAIN WITH PLACES SIX AND SEVEN IN MOSCOW

Melville McKee and his Interwetten.com Racing Team celebrated his first podium place of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season at the Nürburgring last weekend. The young Brit continued his success story in Moscow.

"Melville seems to have cracked it", content team manager Michael Schneider explains. "On this track, new to all the drivers, he performed impeccably, in the qualifying as well as in the races."

The first race saw Melville improve from his eighth starting position up to sixth place. He finished the second as seventh, having started the race as 12th. "I'm happy with my performance and hope to continue the trend in the next races."

Guilherme Silva collected further championship points as ninth in the first race The Brazilian therefore remains the most consistent of the team's drivers. But not only did he prove his reliability - in the second race, he impressed yet again with his strength in duels. As 24th out of 34 contestants, he worked his way up to 14th place. His team colleague Timmy Hansen finished his races as 20th and 15th.

The team will be in action next from 4th to 5th August in the Dutch Assen, this time within the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC. The next battles for points and positions in the Eurocup are anticipated again for the 15th to 16th September on the Hungaroring.
